God the One
If you have one God, you have a person, if you have two, you have love, if you have three you have community. How awesome is it that God who existed perfectly in love and community, who did not need to create, chose to share the love and community with others because He is love. He does not need our love, He does not need to give His love. How spectacularly can we love someone who has made a chooice to love us, rather than someone who needs to love us?

Good times!
Life on the range is good. Being married is good. I hear the Hornok Golf classic may be folding. I guess we need a Master's tour and a regular tour. Too bad there was never a Hornok Road Race or Basketball tournament. Perhaps we can do something about that. Cheers until then.

Anno Domini 2007 May
We've once again come through the skiing year of Hornok visits to the ski slopes of a pretty great state. It's a celebration as cherished as the Hornok reunions of yore. We also travel by the milestone of graduations, including the youngest daughter of the oldest son, and the oldest son of the youngest son, get it? Already the world of Hornoks is getting so complex that our matriarch does not keep track of all birthdays and anniversaries anymore--I've asked her. So we've grown from a garden where each plant is known and cherished to a farm where the pieces develop together, recognize one another, but oftentimes function independently. It's not always the place where everybody knows your name. Had to happen, may God continue to bless our clan with growth, prosper us in love, and watch over us with faithfulness.

Doug Hornok family ski trip
Skiing was truly a blast. I can't remember when I enjoyed myself more with half the Doug Hornok's coming out to ski. Probably because I was able to ski with them for more than just one day and not feel guilty about how much $ I was spending. Solitude, Brighton, Snowbird and a little bit of Alta were just what I needed. Fat skis rule, and all others drool! At least not $100 cheapies from Gart Bros, right David? To the Doug Hornok's who missed out, I'm sorry you're married and not living in Utah, next year, right? Maria, I got to hear "A shower gift for you" at least 6 times. It was awesome. And rookie cop stories from Tulsa never get boring. Ever. Never. Nope. Tell it again, man. You know, the one about the blood and the fat lady and the other one about the dog with the banana and the guy who threw up and the stripper who overdosed. Oh, I could listen for hours. And who couldn't love a car designer/computer tech expert from Detroit with 2 mortgages, I know those highschool girls in the hot tub sure did! Looking forward to the the privilege of the upcoming Richard Hornok ski trip adventure. Love to all and pass the monkey meat.
